Silulo Technologies
When we first met Luvuyo in the slums of Cape Town, he was selling computers out of the back of his car and struggling to put food on the table for his family. But he had a big vision. South African youth needed computer skills and internet access and he wanted to grow a social business to meet the demand. Our pro-bono TBN mentors helped him develop a business plan and we provided a growth loan of £50,000. Today Silulo Technologies is highly profitable with 36 stores which train thousands of youth every year. It’s award-winning business and Luvuyo was recognised by the World Economic Forum in 2016 as a leading entrepreneur. Our help made an enormous difference.
